You have edited your play, but the changes do not appear

Have you started to vocalize the latest changes?

When you have modified a play, these modifications will not be taken into account until you have vocalized your play. Indeed, as long as a text is not vocalized, the modifications are not taken into account and the text is considered as being in the state of Draft, and it is always the old version that you will receive.

Check that there is no Draft version left

  • Sign in to the Imparato website if you have not already done so
  • On your Dashboard, click on the chevron of the relevant play, then Edit
  • Look at what it says in the Edit section.
    • If it says Edit Text, then there is no draft and that is not the problem: go to the next paragraph to try to solve your problem
    • If it says Draft in progress, it means that you have to finalize it and start the vocalization.
  • Click on Draft in progress then Continue edits.
  • Click on the Ready to vocalize? button at the bottom of the screen
  • Check the settings, the voice genres
  • Click on the button Start vocalization at the bottom of the screen
  • Once the vocalization is complete, you will receive an email and the new version of the play will be available at the rehearsal
  • Be sure to refresh the page of the play on the site (F5 key), or return to the play screen of the application to retrieve this latest version

A vocalization may be in progress?

  • On your Dashboard, look at the status of your play
  • If it says Vocalization in progress, it means that we are still generating the voices for all the lines in your play.
  • Once the vocalization is complete, you will receive an email and the new version of the play will be available at the rehearsal
  • Be sure to refresh the page of the play on the site (F5 key), or return to the play screen in the application to retrieve this latest version

πŸ’‘ The time it takes to vocalize a play depends directly on how much you've changed it: from a few seconds to nearly an hour for hundreds of lines or if there are many other vocalizations initiated by other users.

Is there an incident in progress?

If it's been more than two hours since a Vocalization in Progress appears to be blocked, there may be an incident in progress on our platform or at one of our providers. We usually communicate on a dedicated page accessible from the support in the category Incidents.

A specific problem with your play

Sometimes the vocalization of your play has failed for some obscure and random reason, or because there is a bug specifically related to a line. We monitor these incidents and usually restart it within working hours. Feel free to contact us at support[@]imparato.io to save time.

You have edited your play, but the changes do not appear.

The play may be in Draft or a vocalization is in progress.

Refer to the On Computer section of this same article on the site to check :

  • that your play has been vocalized (there is no longer a draft)
  • that no vocalization is in progress (it can take up to 1 hour for the longest plays)
  • that no incident is in progress on our platform

Synchronization problem with the application

If you have checked the previous points and no vocalization is in progress, your device may not be able to retrieve the latest version of your play. You can try a manual refresh.

  • Go to the My texts screen
  • Scroll down to refresh the list and status of your plays. A loading indicator will appear for varying lengths of time.
  • Go to the screen of your play, then wait 5 to 10 seconds to download the new version of the play, especially if your connection is not very fast.
  • If the problem persists, restart the application completely or contact us.
